Both Paparizou and Panagiotidis were born and raised in Sweden by Greek parents. They were the first ever to be nominated for a Swedish Grammis in the category modern dance with a Greek song. In 2001 Antique were selected to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with the song "Die for You", sung in a blend of English and Greek, ending with a third place – behind only Estonia and hosts Denmark.

Career
In 1999, some DJ friends of Elena Paparizou's brother asked her to make a demo of the Notis Sfakianakis hit "Opa Opa". Paparizou told them that the lyrics are for a man, so she asked to sing it with her childhood friend Nikos Panagiotidis, whom she had met through her siblings at a Greek diaspora celebration in Stockholm. At that time, some record producers were undergoing a project to sign a duo consisting of a male and a female that would sing covers of traditional Greek hits oriented towards the Greek diaspora of Sweden, finally coming in contact with Paparizou, who recommended Panagiotidis; they formed Antique and were signed to newly-formed indie label Bonnier Music, settling on the name because it left an impression of being "classic" and "timeless". Paparizou admitted that Greek music had been something of an acquired taste for her, and that the name "Antique" was probably a reflection of her childhood impression of it being something rather distant and old-fashioned; something that she only really associated with her summer holidays in Greece. Their debut single "Opa Opa" became a hit amongst the Greeks in Sweden and eventually entered the top ten in Sweden and Norway, making them the first act to enter into the Swedish top five with a song sung in Greek. Their later singles "Dinata Dinata","Follow Me", and "Moro Mou" also charted well.

Despite being relatively unknown in Greece, the duo entered the national final to be Greece's representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen, Denmark with the song "(I Would) Die for You", written by Nikos Terzis with lyrics by Antonis Pappas, placing joint first, but being named the winners by default as they had won the public vote. The song placed third in the actual contest with 147 points; although equaled by the 2004 entry, it was the best placing Greece had ever received until Paparizou won the contest as a solo artist in 2005.[citation needed] The song went on to become their biggest hit in Greece, reaching Platinum status, while it peaked at number three in Sweden, and charted elsewhere.[citation needed] Antique's success in the contest led to them earning recognition in Greece and working there for the rest of their career. In continuation, they recorded four studio albums that achieved mild success, performed a small European tour, and collaborated with artists such as Katy Garbi and Slavi Trifonov. In 2002, they recorded the song "V-Power" in both English and Greek versions. The songs were included on the 14-track promotional album released for Royal Dutch Shell by V2 Records to promote the premium unleaded gasoline product known as V-Power. Following their course as Antique, Paparizou and Panagiotidis decided to pursue solo careers, although Paparizou maintained that the duo had not disbanded, but rather was taking a break.

After disbanding
Antique disbanded in late 2003 on good terms with both members pursuing solo careers. There are currently no intentions of reuniting the group, although they have both expressed to want to reunite in the future.

Very interestingly, in 2005, two years after the duo disbanding, Elena Paparizou was selected as a solo this time, to represent Greece yet again at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 and she was victorious in first place.

[starttext]The Dutch DJs, Hugo Zentveld (aka DJ Renegade) and Aldwin Oomen, are behind a number of dance production projects, including Angel City, Boombastic, and Nightbreed.

Angel City is a dance project by Zentveld and Oomen, fronted by the British female singer, Lara McAllen. The majority of their songs are dance covers. Their hit "Do You Know (I Go Crazy)" sampled the instrumental track "Children" by Robert Miles, as well as the lyrics from "Do You Know" by Michelle Gayle. It was their biggest hit, peaking at #8 in the UK Singles Chart. Their hit, "Touch Me", sampled the lyrics from Cathy Dennis' hit, "Touch Me (All Night Long)". Their fourth song, "Sunrise", was a cover of a track of the same name by Ashiva, and was a Top 10 hit in the UK and across Europe in February 2005. One of the co-writers of this tune, S. Shawcross also co-wrote "City Lights" (which featured on the Angel City album) and has since become an artist in her own right, performing under the name Sarah Lucie Shaw.

Angel City singer Lara McAllen left the group in 2005 to pursue a solo career. However, she re-joined Angel City in late 2006, and featured in the band's 2007 single, "24/7", but this was ultimately never released. In July 2010, a promo clip of a new song called "How Do You Sleep" was posted on Dance Nation's website.

Lara Jennifer McAllen (now Byrne) is a chart vocalist, singer/songwriter, and vocal producer.

Biography
Lara McAllen is the singer for the pop/dance music project Angel City. McAllen began dancing at age 5, and briefly pursued a modelling career before becoming a backing dancer for the pop singer Shakira at age 19. She then began her career as a dance music vocalist with Angel City when she signed her first recording contract with Ministry of Sound at age 20. Before Angel City, Lara found dancefloor success with Stuart's 2001 trance release "Free (Let It Be)", released through Incentive, an offshoot of Ministry of Sound.

While originally credited as a guest vocalist in Angel City, McAllen later joined the group as lead singer and performed all the tracks on the debut album "Love Me Right". McAllen had UK Top 10 records with Angel City before pursuing further work both in vocal production and songwriting. As a partner of the production company responsible for the Angel City records, McAllen worked alongside producers who have collaborated with Jason Nevins, Rob Davis (Kylie Minogue) and Armin Van Buuren. She has also presented for various Sky Channels on programmes like FYC as well as featuring on TV shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, CD:UK, Des and Mel and performing her debut single Love Me Right on Top of the Pops.

Between 2008 and 2010, several collaborations featuring McAllen (both vocals and songwriting) featured on Clubland albums were released through All Around the World. Having claimed that she was happier away from the performance side, McAllen again performs lead vocals on Angel City's most recent single "How Do You Sleep", a dance cover of Jesse McCartney's single.

Lara has appeared in various media shoots including OK!, Marie Claire as well as 'lad mags' such as Loaded, Maxim, Nuts and Zoo Weekly.

Personal life
Outside of music, McAllen works with numerous charities. She married her long-term partner. McAllen is also a fan of Arsenal F.C.

[starttext]Anastacia (born Anastacia Lyn Newkirk; September 17, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter. Anastacia has been highly successful in Europe, Asia, South Africa and South America, but has not had as much success in her native United States. Her debut album, Not That Kind, released in 2000, achieved multi-platinum sales in Australia, New Zealand and much of Europe causing her to be critically acclaimed by Elton John and Michael Jackson, have the 4th biggest European single and biggest Australian single of 2000 and to be awarded 'Best-selling International Artist' in 2000. Her next two albums continued her multi-platinum-selling success throughout Europe and Oceania making her one of the fastest and biggest-selling artists of the new millennium.

In 2005, she was recognized for worldwide sales of over 20 million albums/records. Anastacia is world-renowned for her powerful soul voice, and her small stature – 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm). She was also known for her trademark glasses (often darkly tinted), but she had surgery to correct her vision permanently in August 2005.

Early life and career beginningsAnastacia was born in Chicago, Illinois; her late father Robert Newkirk (of German descent) was a club-singer and her mother Diane Hurley (of Irish descent) an actress on Broadway. After her father (a sufferer of bipolar disorder) left the Newkirk family, they moved to New York City when she was a teenager. Then she enrolled at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan.

Anastacia soon was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when she was thirteen. The incurable bowel disease led to an operation where surgeons cut directly through her stomach muscles removing a foot of the singer's intestines, causing Anastacia to be wheelchair bound and needing to learn how to walk again. Despite her illness she soon became interested in dance. However she was frequently critiqued for being 'too large to make it in the music business'. Anastacia subsequently dieted, triggering a Chrohn's relapse that caused her intestines to collapse which resulted in hospitilisation tube feeding and steroid treatments which caused hair loss, weight gain and swelling of the face.

Despite her on going health problems Anastacia pursued her ambitions and first gained prominence on BET's Comic View, singing Oleta Adams' "Get Here" in 1992. During the early 1990s, she appeared regularly on Club MTV and in videos for the hip hop group Salt-n-Pepa. In 1999, she attracted the interest of record labels after making the finals of the MTV talent show The Cut. Anastacia signed a contract with Daylight Records, a custom label of Sony BMG's Epic Records in March 1999.

Music career

2000–2002: Not That Kind and Freak of NatureAnastacia's debut album, Not That Kind, was released in 2000. The album reached the top ten in eight countries in Europe and Asia. It went triple platinum in Australia; her debut single, "I'm Outta Love" topped the charts in Australia and New Zealand, peaked at number two in France, and also reached number six both in Germany and the UK. In the U.S., it was only a minor radio hit. The second single "Not That Kind" reached number 11 in the UK and became a Top 10 hit in Italy. It also entered the Top 20 in Switzerland and France. "Cowboys & Kisses" was released as the third single off the album, charting in the top forty in some European countries. As the last promotional only single, "Made for Lovin' You" charted in the UK at number twenty-seven and in France at number seventy-two.

While "I'm Outta Love" was a top ten hit on the Hot Dance Club Play, "Not That Kind" did not chart high on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her second album, Freak of Nature achieved respectable sales although it did match the level of international success of Not That Kind. The first single released was "Paid My Dues".The song became an overall hit, peaking in Denmark, Italy, Norway, and Switzerland, and reaching the top ten in several other mainland European countries. The second single, "One Day in Your Life", reached number eleven in the UK and the top ten in many European countries. The next single "Why'd You Lie to Me" reached the top thirty in the UK. "You'll Never Be Alone", the fourth single, reached number twenty-eight on the Adult Contemporary chart in the U.S. When the album was finally released in the United States in May 2002, she dedicated the album to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes,[citation needed] who had died in a car wreck the month before. Lopes was partly responsible for Anastacia's success, since Lisa hosted MTV's The Cut where Anastacia got her first break. Soon after she released a double disc edition featuring two bonus hits, remixes for three of the tracks on the album and two live tracks taken from a Japan gig that was performed on the September 13, 2002.

Anastacia joined Celine Dion, Shakira, Cher, Dixie Chicks, and Stevie Nicks for VH1's Divas Live in 2002 and she also contributed the song "Love Is a Crime" to the Chicago soundtrack. The song peaked at number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart and enjoyed moderate airplay on Rhythmic/Dance format.

Anastacia was also asked to sing the Official song for the 2002 Fifa World Cup and subsequently performed this at the opening ceremony.

2004–2006: Anastacia and Pieces of a Dream
As stated on the Australian talk show Rove in 2004, Anastacia wanted to have more edge to her vocals as she felt there was something missing from her previous works. She brought in many rock instruments which brought a new atmosphere to her music. She also felt that she still needed the funkiness and the pop as the singer felt that too much edge would sound wrong with her voice. Out of this a new sound was formed. She describes her sound as Sprock—a combination of soul, pop, and rock. She named the album after herself.

Anastacia entered record studios in September 2003 to begin recording her next album, working with Glen Ballard, Dallas Austin, and David A. Stewart for release in 2004. On the album, Anastacia also collaborated with P.O.D. lead singer Sonny Sandoval on the socially conscious track "I Do".

The first single, released in March, was "Left Outside Alone", which saw a change in direction for Anastacia. It was one of the biggest songs in Europe of 2004, and has become one of her biggest hits.

Anastacia proved to be a hit, reaching the top of national charts for the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia, Greece, Germany and other countries. Unlike her first two albums, which were released in her homeland of America, Anastacia was not, despite being scheduled for release on three occasions. "Left Outside Alone" was released twice, but failed to pick up heavy airplay. It only gained sporadic Adult Contemporary and Hot AC format airplay. Again, it sparked Rhythmic/Dance format airplay and the dance mix of "Left Outside Alone" peaked at number five on the Hot Dance Club Play. After the original version of "Left Outside Alone" failed to catch on because of lukewarm promotional pushes, especially on radio, the album was postponed and eventually cancelled after the release date of August 30, 2004 passed.

Anastacia released three further internationally successful singles; "Sick and Tired" (which gave her another number one in Spain and another UK top five single), "Welcome to My Truth" (her best-selling hit in Spain), and the ballad "Heavy on My Heart" proceeds from the sale of which went towards her Anastacia Fund (a charitable organization providing research funding for breast cancer).

A small batch of her self titled album was released with a bonus DVD, Anastacia poster and slip case. The DVD includes "Making of Anastacia", "2002 Europe Promo Tour", and a photo gallery.

From September 2004 to August 2005, Anastacia went on the Live at Last Tour. By 2005 the tour was renamed to the Encore Tour.

In late 2005, she released her first greatest hits collection, called Pieces of a Dream, named after a track of the same name. The album spawned the hit singles "Pieces of a Dream" which peaked at number one in Spain and the duet with Eros Ramazzotti, "I Belong to You (Il Ritmo Della Passione)", which was a number 1 hit in Germany, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland and a huge hit throughout continental Europe. Even though Sony BMG did force her to release this collection, Anastacia has said that she is happy now that it was created as it was like a "story book", or summary of the first five years of her career.

Not long after the release of "I Belong to You (Il Ritmo Della Passione)", Anastacia released her first live DVD Live at Last on March 27, 2006 in Europe. The DVD contains footage from concerts in Berlin and Munich. It includes music videos to her four singles ("Left Outside Alone" [U.S. version], "Everything Burns" [with Ben Moody], "Pieces of a Dream", and "I Belong to You (Il Ritmo Della Passione)", with Eros Ramazzotti), five alternative videos ("I Do", "Rearview", "Seasons Change", "Underground Army", and "Time") to songs from her self named album, and a documentary about the tour.

Soon after the DVD release Anastacia took a break from the music industry and began concentrating on her growing fashion line with s.Oliver.

2007–2009: Heavy Rotation
Anastacia attended the memorial Concert for Diana on July 1, 2007, which would have been on Diana's forty-sixth birthday. This was one of the first major events to take place in the new Wembley Stadium, and one of her first major appearances since she took a break from the industry. She opened the medley section of the show and she sang a rendition of "Superstar", from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar, with a gospel chorus behind her.

In August 2007, a video was put on the "Anastacia by S. Oliver" web site. During the video, when Anastacia was asked about her future plans, she confirmed that she was working on a new album as well as the clothing line. A specific month of release or title was not mentioned. In November 2007, her biography on the official Anastacia website was updated to say there will be a new album in 2008, with a tour to follow.

During this time Anastacia began having palpitations which she believed were simple panic attacks, she was soon diagnosed with the heart condition supraventricular tachycardia.

On July 24, Anastacia announced that her fourth studio album Heavy Rotation would be released October 27, 2008 in Europe and Asia (and elsewhere in 2009). The new album featured collaborations with producers Ne-Yo, The Heavyweights, Lester Mendez, J. R. Rotem, and Rodney Jerkins. The album's first single, called "I Can Feel You", began playing in some radio markets on August 25, 2008. The second single from Heavy Rotation was "Absolutely Positively", later served as a promotional single only. The third official single from the album had been confirmed as "Defeated" and was released as a promotional single only in Europe without a music video.

Her fourth studio album proved to be less successful than her previous ones; her singles failed to reach the top 40 in her most commercially successful country (UK). Anastacia however remained positive, stating that other artists have faced the same problems while changing a record label, also blaming the world economical crisis and the label's decision to alter her sound to a more 'urban feel'.

In June 2009, Anastacia began her second tour throughout Europe to promote her fourth studio album. The tour was not funded by her label, but instead the singer herself and was well received by critics and fans alike. Soon after Anastacia was featured on the single "Stalemate" by the UK band Ben's Brother released on October 26, 2009. In November and December 2009 Anastacia, Chaka Khan and Lulu were headlining the Here Come the Girls a special Christmas concert that visited the United Kingdom only. On December 7, 2009 Anastacia opened the annual Royal Variety Performance with Lulu and Chaka Khan performing a rendition of "Relight My Fire".

2010-present: Collaborations and future ventures
In March 2010, Anastacia headlined several shows at Art on Ice in Zürich at the Hallenstadion as well as in Lausanne. Her official website stated about the show: "In a unique, groundbreaking combination of Olympic-level figure skating and smash hit pop, the music of Anastacia will soundtrack and seamlessly inspire a performance from some of the world's best figure skaters, perfectly choreographed to complement her hits." In March Anastacia began recording her fifth studio album and is still in the recording process. A collaborative single Anastacia recorded soon after was "Safety", a duet with Russian singer Dima Bilan, was recorded in Los Angeles on May 25, 2010. The song was performed live for the first time at the Muz-TV Music Awards Moscow in June 2010. The single was listed for release in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2010 but this never happened. During this time Anastacia also became one of the main judges on British talent series Don't Stop Believing, a contest inspired by the musical comedy-drama Glee. Her time spent with the show's other judge, singer Duncan James resulted in recording sessions between Anastacia and the boyband Blue.

On March 23 Anastacia announced she would join Natalia Druyts during Natalia Meets Anastacia concerts at the Sportpaleis Belgium in January 2011 for 6 arena shows. Over 100,000 tickets has been sold. In early July Anastacia and Natalia Druyts recorded a duet "Burning Star" that was released on September 17 in Belgium to promote the highly successful "Natalia Meets Anastacia" concerts.

She also became the first international singer to give concert in Northern Cyprus on November 13, 2010.

On the 25th of March 2011, Anastacia confirmed that she would be releasing a number of singles in 2011 and a full album in 2012.

Fashion brand
Anastacia by s. Oliver is a clothing collection released in late 2006 by Anastacia and German clothing company s. Oliver. She had said that she long wanted to release a clothing line:

“ "I have had the idea of designing my own collection for a long time, but waited for the right partner. s. Oliver came along just at the right time. We got to know each other and found that we not only harmonize well together as a brand, but also have the same ideas about the look of Anastacia by s. Oliver. There are many points that need to be considered when designing a collection: What trends are in, what colors, what fabrics, what styles... That is why I am happy that my work with the s. Oliver design team is going so well and that we are implementing these themes together. For example, I think it is also very important that my clothes can be worn in different sizes." ”

A limited edition CD named "Welcome to My Style" was also available for free to customers who spent sixty euros or more on the clothes in November.

Anastacia by s. Oliver has released a limited edition clothing line called "Limited Luxury", that was designed together with the famous brand Swarovski. This clothing line hit the stores on November 2, 2007 and was only sold in some countries.

Philanthropy
During her years of success, Anastacia has supported many charity events such as Life Ball 2006 (Europe's largest annual AIDS charity event), Make a Difference and Challenge for the Children. Anastacia was one of the fifteen artists to record their take on a Disney song on the CD DisneyMania. Anastacia recorded "Someday My Prince Will Come" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is also included on the Collector's Edition of her second album.

In 2003, Anastacia took part in the charity event, 46664, organized by Nelson Mandela to raise awareness of AIDS. She sang with U2 and Queen, and also contributed to the song "Amandla", recording the song and providing some of the lyrics.

Annie Lennox joined forces with Anastacia and 22 other female artists to raise awareness of the transmission of HIV to unborn children in Africa. The single "Sing" was released on World Aids Day, December 1, 2007, in conjunction with Annie Lennox's appearance at the Nelson Mandela 46664 concert in South Africa.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Anastacia created "The Anastacia Fund" in partnership with Estée Lauder. The organization helps raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of mammograms to women 35 and under. Anastacia began selling her stage clothing on eBay, donating a portion to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The auctions were hosted by an eBay Trading Assistant and Certified Business Consultant. New listings began every Friday for 6 months.

In 2008, she performed at the "Pink Ribbon Gala" in Stockholm, she appeared on "Divas II", a benefit concert along with many other female artists as well as performing at the ChildLine Concert in Dublin.

Personal life
Anastacia married her bodyguard Wayne Newton in Huatulco, Mexico on April 21, 2007. In April 2010 it was confirmed that the two have filed a petition for divorce.

Anastacia has several tattoos on her back, and one below her neck saying "Forever" in an unusual font. She also has an Ankh on her lower back, which appeared on her first album. Since it represents "eternal life", to her fans it has come to symbolize her.

Anastacia suffers from Crohn's disease. Of her illness she says: "Bottling things up fuels the symptoms of Crohn's. I have had to learn not to be frightened of feelings. You might think it strange that I still wanted to fulfil my ambition of becoming a singer, trying to make it in a business that is so difficult and so pressurized".

Anastacia also was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia in 2008. To date she has put off surgery and instead takes medication.

Cancer diagnosis
In January 2003, Anastacia decided to have her breasts reduced because of back strain. From a routine mammogram for the surgery she discovered she had breast cancer. She immediately started and successfully completed surgery and radiotherapy. Anastacia subsequently established the Anastacia Fund to promote awareness of breast cancer among younger women.

She has attributed her health scare as being an inspiration for the sound and content of her third album. According to an interview she gave in 2005 on British music station The Box, her voice lost its power and she became unable to record and thus she spent a long time writing and trying to create a sound that she finally became happy with.

France's David Guetta belongs to the sparkling wave of DJs that combine Daft Punk's sleek house music with a pinch of electroclash's punch. Guetta had been DJing around France playing popular tunes, but his brain was particularly rewired in 1987 when he heard a Farley Jackmaster Funk track on French radio. He taped the track, brought a copy to a gig, and promptly cleared the floor with it during one of his own sets. Things loosened up a year later when acid house came to France and Guetta successfully promoted his own club nights. It was during one of those nights in 1992 that he met Robert Owens, a Chicago-based house legend who was touring across European at the time. Guetta played Owens some of his own tracks, and Owens picked one he liked enough to sing over. The result was "Up and Away," a minor hit that lurked in garage DJ crates for the next four years.

Guetta's carefree attitude — that he only produces good music while he's having casual fun — kept the DJ from releasing anything until 2001's "Just a Little More Love." The track featured American gospel singer Chris Willis, who met Guetta while on vacation in France. Another slow burner, "Just a Little More Love," kept popping up in sets for the next two years, first in an electro version and later in a pumped-up Wally Lopez remix. During this time, Guetta snuck out a bootleg remix of David Bowie's "Heroes," retitled "Just for One Day." Bowie gave the go-ahead to release the track officially, and Guetta soon had a massive hit on his hands. Guetta featured the liberated boot on his first mix CD, Fuck Me I'm Famous, named after Guetta's successful Ibiza-based party. The fun-loving slacker DJ finally got around to releasing a collection of his own productions in 2004, Just a Little More Love on Astralwerks. Guetta Blaster arrived that same year, followed by Poplife in 2007. Chris Willis sung lead vocals on the latter album, which spun off multiple dance singles in multiple countries. Fuck Me I'm Famous: International, Vol. 2 was then released in July 2008, giving listeners a taste of the stylish sounds that orchestrated Guetta's summer club events in Ibiza.[endtext]

[starttext]Alice DeeJay was a Dutch electronic music group, who achieved success from 1999 to 2002.

Members
The group consisted of record producers Pronti (born Sebastiaan Molijn), Kalmani (born Eelke Kalberg) and DJ Jurgen with Marc Lee-Smith remixing and the DJ's From Mars lead singer Judith Anna Pronk. They also had background dancers: Mila Levesque and Angelique Versnel.

After the successful years of Alice Deejay, Pronk, Levesque and Versnel left the group. Now, Pronk works as a freelance hair and make-up artist around the world. She is represented by Touche Models in Amsterdam. Lee-Smith continued his studies by completing a degree in Sports Science in London. Levesque graduated from the Lucia Marthas Dance Academy. After Alice Deejay, she is still active in the world of dance. She released the single "Lift Me Up" in 2003 for a lollipop commercial. The video played on the Box for months and she reached the Top 20 in Holland. She has been hired as a model by L’Oreal, Oasis, Urban Outfitters and the designer Anoosh. She is now known as Mila Lazar.

In 2004, Versnel started her own company (AV Performing Productions), which gives training lessons (and creative complete choreographies) to artists, bands and commercial shows.

Early days and success
Versnel began her education as a dancer at the School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, United States. After completing four years at the dance academy (as well as high school study) at Alvin Aley in New York, she became a part of Alice Deejay.

Alice DeeJay launched their career in July 1999 with the single, "Better Off Alone", credited to DJ Jurgen presents Alice DeeJay. In the UK, the song went platinum and reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart, and #3 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play, also reaching #27 on the Billboard Hot 100. Alice Deejay achieved success with the follow-up single "Back In My Life" in November of the same year.

The group's first and only album was Who Needs Guitars Anyway?, which was released on April 11, 2000. It entered the Top Ten of the UK Albums Chart.

Alice DeeJay made the UK Top 20 with three more tracks: "Will I Ever", "The Lonely One" and "Celebrate Our Love", although each single's chart position was lower than its predecessors.

Alice DeeJay won the award for their hit single, "Better Off Alone", in the category Best Chart Act, defeating other nominees such as All Saints, Jennifer Lopez, Eiffel 65, and Vengaboys. Alice Deejay also performed a cover version of the Mel C (of the Spice Girls) song "I Turn To You" in live performances.

American rapper Wiz Khalifa sampled "Better Off Alone" in his 2008 single, Say Yeah.

Decline and reformation
The group had not performed publicly since November 9, 2002, when they played seemingly their last gig in Utrecht.

A new act called Candee Jay was formed in 2004. Candee Jay shared many similarities with Alice DeeJay, and had two major hits.

On December 1, 2007, Pronti and Kalmani were brought to Los Angeles, under the title "Alice Deejay" for "Winter Fresh" by Fresh Entertainment. They were brought out again for "Fresh" in April 2008, performing for the last time as "Alice Deejay".

Alice Deejay returned in 2010 on a UK nightclub tour, entitled "Best Hits Tour". Their first return appearance was on 3 April at club Powerhouse in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Alice Deejay and Vengaboys producers, Danski and Delmundo have returned, and are working with Alice Deejay and the Vengaboys again after almost ten years.

Pronti and Kalmani have now resurfaced as the driving force behind Dash Berlin, who made their debut onto the Top 100 DJ list for DJ Magazine as the 15th top DJ in the world.
